    The list is well put together and I think many of the points will be helpful for those unsure. Linkedin is indeed a great site for building relationships and gathering information as are various other social media outlets such as Twitter. I think although your first commandment says not to hire based solely on skills and experience, these two should still be very important aspects of your decision.
