Online presence is ‘essential’ for firms
Having an online presence should be one of the most important parts of a company’s recruitment strategy, according to one business manager.
Sanjay Nayak, president of McCann Worldgroup, says that the internet is one of the best ways for firms to attract the attention of potential employees, Exchange4Media reports.
This is because it gives them the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the company, its “philosophy” and what it does.
It will also give them an idea of the kind of work they could be doing if they were employed there.
Speaking about companies which do not have an online presence, Mr Nayak said: “It is a missed opportunity, which we must leverage to our advantage in future.”
Writing for Advertising Age, Traci Armstrong recently claimed that smaller businesses should consider using online recruitment websites if they cannot afford to search the large global job boards for CVs.
