Careers advice, Job seeker advice, Interview advice, Career Resolutions, New Year resolutions, job seekers, candidate advice, CareerCamLive, Careers Show, Live Careers Show, Aimee Bateman, CareerCake.TVCongratulations. The hard work paid off, you got the interview. But how prepared are you?

My experience as a recruiter, and since then as a careers coach, has taught me that one of the biggest pitfalls candidates make in the job hunting process is not being prepared for an interview. Yet like most things in life, preparation is key if you want something to be a success.

So in this month’s CareerCamLive (June 4th, 6.30pm), I’m going to be providing you with some killer answers to three of the most common interview questions:

1. Tell me about yourself

2. What’s your weakness (and I won’t be telling you to demonstrate a strength!)

3. What are you most proud of?

This will be followed by a 15 minute Q&A – enabling you to ask your interview-related questions and receive real time, interactive advice.

For those of you who don’t know, CareerCamLive is a free interactive webinar brought to you by Webrecruit &, offering a unique opportunity for job seekers to gain genuine, live advice.

Kicking off at 6.30pm (GMT) on Tuesday 4th June, I’ll be letting you in to all my little secrets to give you the best possible chance of success in your job interview.

My work so far has seen me featured in various careers shows for the BBC, and also in the Guardian. And now I hope to impart this knowledge on to you in CareerCamLive.

If you have a question you’d like me to answer in the show, please email them to me at or you can tweet me using #CareerCamLive.

To tune in to the webinar, please register your details here.

Hope to see you there.

Nice article. The what’s your weakness question throws a lot of people as we are reluctant to admit to a weakness even though we all have them. Many candidates are taken apart on this question if they answer something like “I tend to rush into things.” This will virtually eliminate them for any job that requires strategic thinking, which is most high level jobs.
