Whether that’s speaking to your own personal network, attending careers shows, reaching out to college alumni or increasingly, tapping in to your social network.

With the web buzzing with social media, it’s now not uncommon to use social media in order to connect with employers and eventually, find a job. But how exactly do you use social media to advance your professional life?

Next Tuesday (April 2nd) at 6.30pm GMT, I will be back with another live episode of CareerCamLive, focusing on how you can use social media to progress your career.

Perhaps you want to know what platforms you should use to connect with a company or what platforms will help stand you out?

Maybe you’re wondering what your online profile picture should say about you? Or tricks to catch the eye of an employer using Twitter or LinkedIn?

Whatever your question, I’ll be on hand to share knowledge and experiences that will help you to make the most of social media, impress the employer, bag that interview and start your perfect career.

All you have to do is send your social savvy career-related questions to me at or tweet me at @askcareercam. I’ll then select the best questions to answer live on the show.

Don’t miss me on CareerCamLive, Tuesday 2nd April at 6.30pm GMT for all the advice and nuggets of information you need to successfully use social media as part of your job hunt. Tune in here.

If you missed last month’s CareerCamLive, don’t worry, it’s still available on our Ustream channel or webrecruit’s YouTube page until the end of May.
