Graduates urged to consider recruitment agencies

UK graduates have been urged to consider making use of recruitment agencies.
According to Jayne Rowley, the publishing director of Graduate Prospects, an organisation established in 1972, recruitment agencies should not be discounted as they often deal with the application process on behalf of other companies.
"It's always worth including them as part of a graduate's strategy. The more resources a graduate can identify, the more choice they are giving themselves," said Ms Rowley.
Ms Rowley stressed that such companies will employ the services of recruitment agencies in instances where they lack both the resources and the time to manage the recruitment process, or simply cannot cope with the volume of applications.
In related news, it was also noted that social networking websites can also act as a positive tool for the sourcing of vacancies and that the so-called Facebook generation will not have difficulties with engaging with employers online.
