British employees would like the chance to return to university and further their skills base, according to the findings of a new survey.
Conducted by recruitment website Monster, the international poll found that 85 per cent of UK employees would like the chance to return to university.
Of these respondents, 45 per cent said this was because they felt they are not learning anything in their current jobs, related onrec.com.
The remaining 40 per cent said it was because they believed going back to university would help them achieve their career goals.
Julian Acquari, managing director of Monster UK and Ireland said: "One of the first things many job seekers look for is evidence of solid training and a clear growth path. In-house and external training schemes can prove a good investment for companies."
University leavers should be taught soft skills while studying, such as turning up on time and communicating efficiently before they find jobs, according to the Confederation of British Industry.
