Unemployed 'to get boost' from Jeremy Kyle

Talk show host Jeremy Kyle is in the pipeline to front a new TV show aimed at helping the unemployed find jobs, it has been reported.

The TV show has been given the initial title Jeremy Kyle Gets Britain Working and has reportedly received the government's blessing.

Currently, talks are in progress between ITV and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) about the finer points of the programme.

Speaking to the Observer, a female representative for the DWP commented: "We want to use our communications as effectively as possible to motivate and support people into work.

"We have appointed an agency to explore advertising-funded programming, but no decisions have been made."

Not everyone is in favour of the idea to use Jeremy Kyle as a motivator of job seekers it would appear, as a columnist for the Observer described the plans on Sunday as "downright disturbing".
