Insurance recruitment 'continues to rise'

The number of people being recruited by the insurance industry has risen, despite the economic crisis in the UK, it has been claimed.

Hays Senior Finance says that there has been a rise in the demand for people to fill an ever increasing number of job roles.

Therefore those with insurance experience should be able to use traditional or e-recruitment methods to get job interviews "very swiftly", according to Roland Sneddon, regional director of Hays.

"Over the last two months we have seen a sharp increase in demand for senior level candidates in the insurance sector," he added.

This news comes despite a nation-wide fall in the number of job vacancies, which is down by 40,000 from the last quarter of the year, the Office for National Statistics reveal.

However, the number of vacancies for graduate level employees is on the increase.
