New online resource set to 'benefit recruitment industry'

A new database has been launched by a HR software provider in order to help recruitment firms find the perfect candidates for jobs as well as work towards solving the problem of skills shortages.

Software provider for the HR industry Actonomy claims the new technology utilises "searching and matching software" in order to find the most efficient methods of hunting for both candidates and vacancies.

The new technology is an "important enhancement" to more traditional jobseekers' and employers' search techniques.

"Often recruiters conclude that they can't find any suitable candidates when they’re looking at databases with several tens of thousands or even more than 100,000 CVs," said the company's chief executive officer, Filip De Geijter.

According to figures from the most recent Monster Employment Index, online recruitment activity in the UK was at a 13-month low in July.
