Online recruitment agencies join the fight against crime
19.11.2008
The online recruitment industry is taking steps to continue improving the service it provides to job seekers in the form of a new organisation aimed at fighting crime.
Professionals from a number of agencies and job boards have launched the Recruitment Industry Counter-Fraud Forum, known as SAFER (Safe Advice for Employment and Recruitment), according to Recruiter.
It is hoped that the organisation will ensure that job seekers are continuing to receive a safe and reliable service from online recruitment agencies by keeping them informed and aware of issues within the sector.
Stephen Brewis, SAFER chair of Impellam, spoke about the group at New Scotland Yard. He said that "the vision of SAFER is that all aspects of the industry cooperate with each other to help safeguard our wide range of stakeholders".
Many online recruitment agencies offer CV services which could mean that they help eliminate the risk of CV identity fraud for job seekers.
