Online recruitment 'could provide more jobs due to migrating workers'

Some online recruitment agencies may find that they have more employers using their flat-fee recruitment services following a report that the number of migrant workers leaving the UK is increasing.
According to the Local Government Association (LGA), people are now beginning to migrate out of London after an influx over the past three years.
This could mean that there are an increased number of job opportunities that will need to be filled when the UK comes out of the recession.
A spokesperson for the LGA said: "It will be the migrants going back to Poland and eastern Europe so you will get [the jobs they did while here] not being filled."
He added that the organisation expects recruitment in the UK to pick up in 2010.
According to the LGA's report From recession to recovery: The local dimension, industries which require highly skilled employees are not likely to be badly affected by the economic downturn.
