Pizza Hut to use 'fun and 'friendly' e-recruitment

The food chain Pizza Hut wants to use e-recruitment to target Generation Y job seekers as it re-brands itself as Pasta Hut.
It says it wants to update and revamp its website so that more people aged between 18 and 22 are attracted to vacancies, Personnel Today says.
Pizza Hut believes that by using language more suited to younger generations and expressing the company's fun and friendly atmosphere they can recruit new employees, 85 per cent of whom go on to become managers.
HR director Jayne Little said: "When you look at the younger age group, they're doing everything online - they don't want to apply for jobs using pen and paper."
To further extend their online presence, the company will also launch an extranet site so that different restaurants and offices can be linked up for employees.
At the beginning of October, Personnel Today also reported on the launch of Argos' Christmas recruitment drive, during which the retailer hopes to employ around 15,000 people for the festive season.
