Online recruitment offers 'ROI advantages'
8.7.2008
Online recruitment strategies can offer businesses some significant advantages when it comes to return on investment (ROI), it has been claimed.
According to Michelle Jones, from the Simply Online Services company, internet-based recruitment efforts can be closely monitored and ROI is easier to assess than is the case when applicants are attracted through more traditional media.
In addition, the online recruitment expert insisted that establishing accurate ROI statistics is more important than ever given the current gloom over the UK and European economy.
"In times of recession the ROI from online advertising is much easier to quantify," Ms Jones told the OnRec news service.
"Clients have a wealth of data that simply is not available when you place an advert in a local newspaper or trade journal."
The giant shopping mall in Greater Manchester the Trafford Centre recently revealed that it is increasingly using online recruitment to find the staff it needs to keep its dozens of retail outlets open.
