The call centre activities of the TMP Worldwide company are to be relocated to Bristol later this year, it has been revealed.

Resourcing solutions director for the firm Angela Yates will be overseeing the shifting of a number of call centre jobs to the south-west of England, OnRec.com reports.

Staff employed in Bristol will become the first point of contact for people looking to work for clients of TMP Worldwide, which operates as a resourcing solutions and advertising business.

"Bristol has tremendous expertise in contact centres with many leading organisations basing their contact centre operations in the city," Ms Yates is quoted as saying.

"Bristol has the additional benefit of being close to a number of TMP’s clients including Lloyds Telephone Banking and GCHQ," she added.

Meanwhile, the online recruitment company Milkround recently reported that fewer graduates from British universities are heading to London to find their first jobs.
