A number of staff from Webrecruit took part in Age UK Exeter’s Summer Fete on Saturday 4th July, to help out on stalls at the charity’s yearly event which saw it raise an amazing £4019.
The fete saw a variety of stalls from face painting and candyfloss, to cream teas and delicious baked goods. Live music played out from the bandstand across the St Thomas Pleasure Ground from a line up of talented musicians and singers.
The Fete supports Age UK Exeter, who support, inspire and enable older people in the local community. All funds raised from the day go towards the charity.
Members of the team from Webrecruit managed the stalls covering the children’s games area, including Hook-a-Duck, Splat-the-Rat, and a stall for children to create their own badges.
Sam Duffy, Resourcing Associate, stated: ‘We had a great day at the fete! The weather was perfect and lots of people turned up. It was really positive to hear the fete raised over £4000’. Marketing Assistant, Sophie Down, said: ‘It was such a fun event to be a part of, and with great weather everyone was in high spirits’.
The Age UK Exeter Fete is only one of the activities that Webrecruit are involved in to raise money for the charity. Up next is Tough Mudder in Cirencester, check back after the 23rd of August for more information on how we get on.
